Review:
This original music for handbells with flute is simply gorgeous. It is
mostly Rung with perfectly placed LVs which support the lovely melody. The flute is essential, sharing the melody and joining the treble bells in parallel and counter-harmonies. A gentle TD passage provides the basis for the handchime melody rung in the 6th octave adding a very engaging texture. Addition of a few nicely-placed echo chords add to the interest. This is so well-written that ringers will automatically feel the dynamics which are suggested. Mike's gift for melody and form is fully on display in this tender, expressive, and so very pretty music.
