Review:
Caleb has crafted a delightful medley that includes "Danse Russe" (Trepak); "God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen"; and "Hark the Herald Angels Sing". Techniques include Ring (of course), mart, mart-lift, mallet, TD, Pl, and shake. Caleb describes this work as "a holiday mash-up in rondo form!"
He went on to write: [I used] "Danse Russe Trepak" from the
Nutcracker as its A section material, "God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen" as the first episode in the B section, and then a rhythmically fresh and grand treatment of "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" for its C section material. That C section is my favorite part of the arrangement. I just kinda let it rip with cascading bells and the full instrument playing from G1 - E8."
And there you have it! An amazingly fresh, delightful, and creative work for your holiday repertoire!
