Review:
The beautifully haunting Lenten melody of MARTYRDOM effectively uses LV, shakes, mart-lifts, and a minor-key middle verse to express different moods throughout the piece. It begins softly, moves to a more reflective verse, and is then followed by a climactic verse of love and consecration before returning to the simplicity of the beginning, giving the listener time to reflect. It has been arranged in compatible 2-3 octave and 3-5 octave versions.
