Review:
Caitlin Ristow has created a fabulous handbell setting of Johann Cruger’s hymn - AUF, AUF, MEIN HERZ. It opens with glorious LV handbell peals and features the melody in different ranges throughout. A variety of dynamics and delicate TD, plucked, or malleted techniques add interest and excitement as it builds to the climactic ending. This would be a perfect work to open worship on Easter Sunday – or any celebratory occasion! It is less than 2 minutes long, but the congregation/audience will be thoroughly engaged and inspired by this glorious work.
