This original work by Christopher Reed evokes vision of storms … lightning, thunder, and even TD notes on the high bells to emulate raindrops. Written in F-minor, it begins with ‘scattered raindrops,’ rolling thunder and lightning, moving directly into the main theme featuring an engaging melody which is present throughout in many creative ways. Mostly Rung, addition of marts, TD, occasional LV, RT, suspended mallets, and more makes this tone poem thoroughly engaging. There are many expressive variations which add to the excitement as it moves to the dynamic ending. This is an amazing work that is sure to engage your ringers and audience alike!
