Review:
Here's a lovely Level 1 arrangement by Julie Turner of Gustav Holst's "In the Bleak Midwinter" for either 2 or 3 octaves of handbells that both ringers and listeners will enjoy. It can also be performed entirely on handchimes, if desired. To help make this arrangement more user-friendly, the 2-octave version and the 3-octave version have been formatted separately, but both are included in the same copy of sheet music and are compatible for ringing together. Both versions include optional techniques such as LVs, Echo Rings, and Swings. Any beginning group will find this piece both flexible and accessible.
