Alleluia Rejoice and Be Glad

Review:      Gastoldi's (1591) tune has been set with the translated text by C. Winkworth: Sing alleluia, rejoice and be glad; Sing alleluias, let no folk be sad. The SATB voices are to be accompanied by 3 octaves of bells and organ. The bell part, which is available separately, rings for the majority of the work in easy rhythms with an alternating ostinato figure in the upper bells. The character markings are: "With lilting joy" and "Lightly, in madrigal style."
