Review:
Set in 2/2 time, this Peruvian folksong starts simply then builds. The syncopation is easily readable in a quarter-half-quarter rhythm. A fortissimo section adds marts and mart lifts. The texture builds to the end where full shakes in the treble clef are called for. It is light and happy with the possibility of added percussion; measures total 81.
