The composer of this original composition writes "'Canzona' was inspired by 16th and 17th century keyboard canzonas-especially those of Girolamo Fescobaldi." This work has three sections: the first and third are contrapuntal and based on the same theme; and the second section is more homophonic and based on a motive derived from the second, third and fourth notes of the main theme. "I have not indicated the use of any special techniques. Please feel free to add any where appropriate." Written in a minor, measures total 105.
