Review:
The title of this original work can be misleading. There are, indeed, several staccato techniques called for, but not in any great quantity. Rather, this is better characterized by its happy melody and playful accompaniment. The beginning section is marked quarter note = 112 an then relents later on to a gentle, quarter = 78 tempo. True to A B A form it returns to the beginning tempo for the final section in a new key.
