Review:
Michael Helman won the 1997 AGEHR AREA II Festival Conference Original Composition Contest with this work for handbells with optional handchimes (2 to 3-octaves). The mood is very march-like as it moves through three sections marked Allegro, Andante and Tempo I. The Andante section moves to LV, eighth-note passages which accompany the melody in the chimes. The melody is found in different registers throughout the work.
