Review:
The cantata "Come to the Table" is subtitled "An Easter Communion Celebration". It is set for either SATB or SAB voices, optional C instrument and optional handbells. The celebration includes ten anthems interspersed with dialog. Of these ten pieces, four have full-fledged handbell accompaniments that span 3 octaves. These handbell parts contribute in a major way to each anthem. The ten anthems include original material and hymn settings. The congregation is invited to sing along with three of these and single sheet parts are given along with permission to reproduce them. This cantata is a wonderful avenue for including handbells in a large work.
