Review:
Composer Dale Wood marks the original music to be played "with sparkle and joy!" This anthem is a commissioned piece celebrating an Annual Choir and Handbell Festival on the East Coast. The bells cover 3 octaves and have their own separate score. A lilting melody in 12/8 time accompanies the Plumptre text: "Lift up your hearts, rejoice! Be glad, give thanks and sing! The glorious standard raise on high, the cross of Christ our king. Let bells ring loud and clear as voices echo praise! Sing out majestic hymns of old, the psalms of ancient days." Brass ensemble consists of 2 trumpets, 2 trombones and timpani.
