Review:
Original music accompanies Thomas Kelly's 1804 text in this setting for SATB choir, keyboard and optional brass sextet, percussion and 4-5 octaves of bells. "Hark, ten thousand harps and voices sound the note of praise above! Jesus reigns and heaven rejoices, Jesus reigns, the God of Love," declares the text and is surrounded by triumphant music all around including the bells, which contribute significantly to the accompaniment throughout the work. Brass ensemble consists of 2 trumpets, 2 trombones, French horn and Tuba.
