Review:
An original composition by composer Dale Jergenson uses several elements to depict the sunrise. A driving, malleted, bass line lends energy, chromatic movement and fresh harmonies add the surprise of new colors, fully scored texture presents the magnitude of the early sky, and changing meter underlies the constant change. Not an easy piece, but worth the dramatic effort. Approximately 3 minutes in length.
