Review:
Two nineteenth century hymn tunes are combined in this arrangement for 3 to 5-octaves of bells: Hiding in Thee (Sankey) and It Is Well with My Soul (Bliss). Each hymn is presented separately then occur simultaneously. The strong introduction gradually gives way to more peaceful, alternating accompaniment with lots LV technique. The harmonies are rich, which almost always means some chromatic movement for the bells. Great use is made of a smooth sixteenth -note accompaniment in the upper bells while the melody is found in chordal texture below. The ending ritards and ends on a soft chord.
