Review:
Two tunes from the south are used in this medley: My Shepherd Will Supply My Need (from Southern Harmony) and Alas, and Did My Saviour Bleed by Hugh Wilson. The melodies are easily recognized, but do appear in different ranges of the bells. "Alas" appears second and in a minor mode in the lower bells. After this the tempo accelerates with the key change into a bold and exciting completion of the tune in a major mode. The music then returns to the opening motive that takes it to a quiet, gentle ending.
