Review:
This first installment in the Dallas Handbell Ensemble Series is bright and triumphant with a big bold sound. The fanfare gains excitement by a suspended chord shake over eighth-note patterns in shifting, simple meter. A syncopated phrase with sixteenths then follows to finish the fanfare out. The procession is marked "Maestoso" with a melody of wide interval leaps, chromatic movement and syncopation. Shakes are featured throughout and finish up the 48 measures with a grandioso flourish.
