Review:
"Pass me not, O gentle Savior, Hear my humble cry; While on others Thou art calling, Do not pass me by," so begins Fanny Crosby's beloved gospel text. Arranger Barbara Kinyon sets the music by William Doane for 3, 4 or 5-octaves of bells and 2-octaves of handchimes. Dotted rhythms and chromatic movement characterize the melody, which is set for the bells twice. The third verse finds the melody in the middle register played on handchimes. This melody is accompanied by the bells with LV flowing eighth-notes above and plucked bass notes with rung chords below.
