Review:
Rhythmic energy so well describes the bulk of Hart Morris' work and it stands true in this original composition commissioned for the State Festival 2000 of Arkansas. Optional percussion (timpani and tom-toms or hand drums) moves things along as well as syncopations, staccato technique, martellato and key changes. To some the prairies of mid-America may seem desolate. But, to those who live there they know it is pulsing with life. That's what this piece is all about.
