Review:
This sinfonia comes from J. S. Bach's Cantata 156, "Ich steh' mit einem Fuss im Grabe". Originally written for vocal soloists, choir, oboe, string orchestra, and continuo, it is set here in such a way as to retain as much of the character of the original as possible. A possible variation is to play the melody line on chimes. Five ringers play from a 3-staved score.
