Review:
A "traveling" rhythm, representing the motion of the camels as the wise men rode toward Bethlehem, underlies the first section of this partly original composition and leads into a setting of "Schonster Herr Jesu" or "Beautiful Savior." Further indications of "middle east" flavor are found in the a minor tonality, step-wise melody, and a well-placed shake that might resemble a finger cymbal.
