Review:
Seven octaves of hand chimes and 5-7 octaves of bells are required along with flute, oboe, organ, and SATB voices to perform this poignant work in memory of the composer's loved one. The text begins "In Thee, O Lord, do I put my trust. Go not far from me, O Lord". Expressive textures, which include chromatic harmonies and extreme ranges, provide challenge for the handbell choir.
