Review:
The old Irish folk tune SLANE is here set in a short forty-six measures. The melody appears first in the lower registers accompanied by lilting, LV eighth-note passages. Later, after a key change, the tune moves to the upper registers and becomes more ornamented. Extra care should be given the final passages to bring out the subtle tempo, dynamic, and harmonic shadings. Arranged in Eb Major and C Major, this piece is 46 measures.
