Review:
ISLA DEL ENCANTO is the original title for this arrangement of a traditional Puerto Rican folk song. Twelve optional handchimes in the 2-octave range are scored along with the bells and add to the musicality of the work. Andante mallet rolls in C minor introduce the melody. Soon, however, these rolls give way to an allegro section full of bubble and bounce, in a Latin kind of way! Some bell changes on changing harmonies will require attention. Ninety-two measures.
