Review:
Seven optional handchimes in the 2-octave range introduce the melody on this advent plainsong. Underneath are mallets on suspended bells. These combine for an ethereal, anticipatory effect. The LV technique smooths the following, flowing section. A quiet ending leaves one to ponder this season. The meter is in 2/2 and 3/2 with one key change. The composition is eighty-three measures in length.
