Review:
The words “imaginative” and “complex” come to mind when considering this plaintive carol. Meters alternate between 6/8, 9/8 and 12/8 throughout, along with 9/4 and 12/4 meters in the beginning and final measures. Textures combine moving patterns of quarters and eighths with rich chords for a lush sound that will please everyone. This piece is 77 measures long.
