All Hail the Power of Jesus' Name:  Ellor, J.,McChesney, K.,LC
A bold, energetic fanfare propels the listener into this arrangement based on the hymn tune "Diadem" by James Ellor. Syncopated, rung accompaniment as well as malleted, pulsing bass lines support the melody in the upper bells on the first statement of the tune. A contrasting section finds the melody in the lower range before returning to the opening material.

Canticle of Fellowship:  Courtney, C., ,BE
The text of this SATB anthem is based on Col. 3:12-14 and John Fawcett's hymn "Blest be the Tie." Bell and choral parts are easy.

Handbell Odyssey:  Strauss, R.,Stephenson, V.,JH
This short (21 measure) arrangement of "Also Sprach Zarathustra" ("Space Odyssey" Theme) is ideal as an introductory fanfare. Use with organ and/or brass quartet and timpani.

Here I Am Lord:  Schutte, D.,Sherman, A.,HP
Dan Schutte's popular anthem is here arranged with 4 possible performance options: 1) Handbells alone, 2) Bells and optional handchimes, 3) bells and SATB voices and 4) bells and unison voices. A freely sung opening may be sung by a solo or section or rung on bells. A lovely work for whatever performance venue fits your situation!

I'll Fly Away:  Various,Waldrop, T.,RO
"Some glad morning, when this life is o'er, I'll fly away". Albert Brumley's beloved gospel tune is here combined with "In the Sweet By and By" for a toe-tapping time for 3, 4 or 5 octaves. Lots of staccato technique (especially for the bass bells).

In the Garden:  Miles, C. A.,McChesney, K.,JH
3, 4 & 5 octaves of bells combine with 3, 4 or 5 octaves of optional chimes to present a sweet but sincere setting of C. Autin Miles' well-known hymn. The texture is predominantly chordal, and staccato notes may be thumb damped, plucked, or lightly marted.

Joshua Fit the Battle of Jericho:  Traditional,Thompson, Martha Lynn,HP
For all of those 4 and 5 octave young ringers' choirs who have a difficult time finding fun, playable but interesting music in that octave range your search is over! Full texture, lots of fun techniques and a moderate tempo combine to make this piece a winner. Of course, more skilled choir would enjoy "ringing the walls down" as well!

Lord is My Shepherd, The:  Matthews, T.,McChesney, K.,FB
This 3, 4, or 5 octave arrangement of Thomas Matthews choral work can stand alone or can be used to accompany the choral arrangements and can also be performed in the following ways: Handbells with chimes or chimes with handbells.

Lord of the Dance:  Carter, S.,McChesney, K.,HP
Excitement and suspense are immediately generated as this arrangement of an adaptation by Sydney Carter begins with mallet rolls on C's in octaves. This pedal point continues under a fanfarish opener which leads into the next section marked "with driving rhythm." In this section melody is doubled in the treble above the "driving accompaniment. However, later on the middle range of bells carries the melody to a sudden change of accompaniment - half-note chords. The end sections are big and full with 16th-note rhythms and staccatos abound.

March of Praise:  Stephenson, V.,,AG
If you are looking for a bright piece for bells or chimes this one should fit the bill. Entirely chordal in texture, the ringers have the opportunity to gain skill in ringing varying dynamic levels and a long crescendo. Shakes fill out the ending. 51 measures in length.

March of the Chimes:  Hollander, L.,,RO
2, 3 or 4 octaves of chimes or handbells sound equally strong on this bold march that combines fanfare, full chordal ringing and antiphonal textures in 68 measures. For worship consider the optional title: Glory March.

Moment Meditation:  Eithun, S.,,RW
Sandra Eithun's original composition in 42 measures presents a gentle melody in the upper registers accompanied by half and quarter-note chords below. Easy to read syncopation occurs across the bar-line in the introduction and interlude.

Now the Green Blade Riseth:  ,McChesney, Kevin,HP
"Sing We Now of Christmas" is the alternate title to this tune. However, the energetic nature of this entire work suggests the vigorous growth of Spring, when the grass turns green. This energy is set up with a driving bass clef-rhythm pattern played by mallets on tabled bells.

Oh How I Love Jesus:  ,Childers, B.,JH
Set in 6/4 time, a duo of bells and piano intermingle sweetly through flowing passages, frilly grace-notes, and full ascending chords in this setting of the beloved hymn of children and adults. 18 bells between Ab4 and C7 are called for. Set in Ab Major, measures total 69.

PDQ Bells:  McChesney, K., ,JH
With section titles like "Eine Kleine What was that?", "Elise's Furballs", and "Taco Bell's Canon" you've got to know this spoof, patterned after PDQ Bach, is a hodgepodge of a "phony sym-phony".

Peacherine Rag:  Joplin, S.,Rogers, S.,JH
Optional wood blocks or claves lend their flavor to this accessible ragtime piece by the famous Scott Joplin. Challenge will come from a repetitious, syncopated rhythm and accidentals.

The arranger uses mallets on tabled bells in a steady, eighth-note pulse to create excitement in this setting of the praise song by Darlene Zschech.

Song of the Morning:  Burswold, L., ,RW
Mixolydian mode (lowered 7th scale step in a major key) and major tonality intermingle in this ethereal and calming original composition that requites BOTH bells and flute. One can almost picture monks strolling through the monastary garden deep in prayer for the coming day.

Towers:  Moklebust, C., ,AG
Comissioned for an AGEHR area festival/conference, and in memory of Ellen Jane Lorenz Porter, this original composition is based on a "plain hunt" change ringing pattern. Performance notes give detailed instruction for ringing of the peals. 126 measures in length.

Variations on Madrid:  ,Helman, M.,AG
"Come, Christians, Join to Sing," is the most used text for this hymn-tune. Here it is presented in a big, chordal setting, a staccato accompaniment section, a slow, flowing section which utilizes the echo technique and then back to the beginning texture.
