The Symposium theme is "Out of Many, One" – and that theme is honored within this original work. A delightful melody sets the ambiance and is beautifully developed in this joyous piece.

Michael Helman has given us this delicate medley of the tunes "In the Bleak Midwinter"; "Still, Still, Still"; and "Once In Royal David’s City".

Arranger Mitchell Eithun brings us this exciting arrangement that is perfect for Easter. Although it is written for 3, 4, or 5 octaves, there are no bell changes, meaning it can be played by a full choir with or without the use of tables.

Inspired by the text, "Prone to wander, Lord I feel it," the opening segment in this setting creates a quieter, more contemplative mood. The momentum eventually builds for the following rousing verse, followed by another more thoughtful verse on chimes.

Leaning heavily on the mart lift and malleted bells on the table, this lively arrangement from Sondra Tucker is useful for worship during any season, but it will be especially effective at Easter.

This piece was a very popular solo turned community sing-along tune of the 80s, which was popularized by Hong Kong pop singer Alan Tam. This song was widely sung throughout Asia at its time, because of its lyrics & melodic phrases.

The "fum" in the title of this Spanish carol of celebration is meant to imitate the percussive strumming of the guitar, and arranger Nick Hanson runs with that theme in this highly percussive and exciting setting.

Lee Afdhal’s original work begins with a somber feeling of tension which gives way to a mournful melody of yearning. The middle section drives the piece forward before the return of the opening theme, which now has a more hopeful feeling than before.

This original work by Sandra Eithun is lively and uplifting. It is scored for 3 to 5 octaves of handbells and optional 3 octaves of chimes.

This simple but very nice setting of Dvorak's "New World" theme is playable by a small or large group and because there are no bell changes, tables are not required. This classic theme has often been set to religious lyrics and appears in many hymnals, making it appropriate for school, church, or concert.

Luna is a composition dedicated to mankind, who experienced all kinds of sufferings during the pandemic over the past few years.

Luna is the divine embodiment of the moon. There are plenty of myths and legends about the moon's power. People believe that moonlight brings hope in the darkness. It brightens the darkest corners of the night. Moonlight is the guidance for vulnerable ships sailing on the sea.

"Mosaic: Folk Songs of Canada" was chosen by the Handbell Musicians of Canada as their selection for the 19th International Handbell Symposium in Hong Kong in 2020. It features five Canadian folk songs: "Flunky Jim", "Feller from Fortune", "Red River Valley", "Ho Ho Watanay", and "Vive la Canadienne". Each of these unique tunes has been creatively arranged into this engaging collection. (Lyrics to these folk songs are included.)

"Prisms," written over 30 years ago, is one of Bill Payn's first compositions written for handbells. It was composed because he was concerned that the high and low bell ringers in his senior high ensemble at the time (The Ringers On-the-Green of the Presbyterian Church of Morristown) were often just standing with very little to do while the middle bells seemed to be having all most fun! "Prisms" was written specifically to engage ALL of the ringers.

Throughout all of life’s trials, hope gives us the strength to rebuild and confidently reinvent our circumstances. "Rays of Hope" is an original piece for handbells that depicts the remnants of a storm that has passed, and then begins to hint at the light that is coming to bring us a new day.

Jason Krug gives us his own stirring take on this traditional hymn, and even those unfamiliar with the original tune will be moved to worship.

This arrangement from Kevin McChesney highlights the fact that this Christmas hymn is also called the "Echo Carol", through its use of dynamic contrasts and the interplay between bells and chimes.
