This pedal point continues under a fanfarish opener which leads into the next section marked "with driving rhythm." In this section melody is doubled in the treble above the "driving accompaniment. However, later on the middle range of bells carries the melody to a sudden change of accompaniment - half-note chords. The end sections are big and full with 16th-note rhythms and staccatos abound.
